John A. Mannisi, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.S.C.A.I.

Dr. John Mannisi received his undergraduate and medical degrees at Johns Hopkins University. He subsequently completed his internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine fellowships at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

During the time he was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Dr. Mannisi also served as the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the University Hospital, Stony Brook. He was a Clinical Research Investigator for the National Institutes of Health. Serving on the editorial board for the "Journal of American College of Cardiology" and "Circulation," Dr. Mannisi is well published on mechanisms of myocardial infarct expansion.

In 1990, Dr. Mannisi joined Lehigh Valley Cardiology Associates as an interventional cardiologist. He served as Co-Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at St. Luke’s Hospital - Bethlehem, PA from 1993-2000 and the Medical Executive Committee as the lead physician to start the Open Heart Program at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg in 2000. Currently, Dr. Mannisi is the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Pocono Medical Center.

Dr. Mannisi is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
