Appointments and Registration
Most of our patients come to us by referral from a family physician, and we encourage you to continue to see your physician on a regular basis. To schedule appointments, please call between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except on legal holidays. Prior to your first appointment, please provide us with as much medical information as possible, including EKG, lab or x-ray reports. These test results will help us evaluate your cardiovascular condition. Ask your physician to release your medical records and forward them to us.
Please notify us of changes in your personal and insurance information. If you need to cancel an appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance.
Payment for Services
Lehigh Valley Cardiology Associates requires payment at the time of service unless you are covered by insurance. We accept cash, checks, Visa and Mastercard. If you are covered by an insurance plan, make sure you have your insurance cards with you so we can submit directly for payment.
LVCA participates with most major insurance companies in the greater Lehigh Valley area. Listed below are just a few of the most common:
- Medicare
- Highmark Blue Shield
- Capital Blue Cross
- Aetna/US Healthcare
- Keystone Health Plans
- Senior Blue
If your insurance requires a referral, please bring it with you; otherwise your appointment may be rescheduled. Copays are collected at the time of service.
Any further questions regarding payment or insurance can be directed to our Billing Department from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at (610) 882-3477.
Emergencies
If you have a medical problem during regular business hours, please call so that we can advise you. If you suspect a life-threatening problem, dial 911 or your local emergency number, then go to the nearest hospital emergency room. When you get there, ask someone to contact us.
Prescriptions
Your cardiologist assesses prescription needs at the time of your office visit. Please bring a complete list of your medications (or medication containers) including dosages with you. All prescription renewals should be obtained during your office visit.
If you are having a problem regarding medication, please call (610) 866-2233. Messages left with nurse triage are checked regularly during business hours from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday, and addressed in order of urgency. A nurse will return your call the same business day. Calls after 4:00 p.m. may be answered the next business day.
